Crime happens in Cary just like anywhere else so one can only assume it's true?

Burglary Isi fortunately not an uncommon crime in Cary .
I'm guessing you might be referring to the recent high profile burglary where 3 armed men forced their way into the house and forced a homeowner at gun point to withdraw money from an ATM. that is unfortunately true. however, most occur when homeowners are not home.

Cary has like 160,000 residents...burglaries will happen. In Fayetteville we had over 20 burglaries in one night....more than once. Cary is fine.

Coming from the northeast, I came from an area with towns of around 20-25k people. I gotta admit the amount of burglaries here were concerning to me at first. But as LordHelmit said, at a population of 160k, that's the equivalent of EIGHT towns from where I came from. If you look at it that way, a burglary once in a while is really no big deal.

Unrelated, but I still want to know what happened with the Upchurch Farms garage murder. Starting to wonder if we'll ever know.

We moved down from a town of less than 2,500. If a pumpkin was taken from your steps, that was a MAJOR crime. You will have to get accustomed to higher crime, even though it is still insanely low in Cary.
