Any realtors on here that may lend assistance. I am from Long Island. ( I know another one). Ihave been combing the net looking for homes near this community. I would like some on the newer side with the ability to install my own pool. All this with Johnston County schools. I am already familiar with area. Just can't find the house.
Thank you.

Do you mean Island Creek? Not sure if this would be in your price range and it's on the other side of Hwy 40 but Adams Point is nice. There also is place called Cleveland Oaks. These are just what I can think of at the moment.

Installing a pool in this area isn't the best of investments. Too many folks here don't want them.

If you are going to install it simply because you want it, you'll need to check n'hood covenants and city/town restrictions. Also, you may need a larger lot for the pool to be installed. You'll need to check with the county to find out where the septic lines are. If you are talking about an above ground pool, many of the n'hood covnenats don't allow it.

I had a buyer that purchased a home in Clayton and we researched it to make sure that the pool could be added. However, the home is near Flowers Plantation and the new Pineville Club. Once she joined the club and has access to the pool there, she decided she'd rather not have the maintenance issues of the pool!

I stand corrected, it is Island Creek. Any info provided would be terrific. I would've bought in Broadmoor, but it is my understanding that you cannot have a pool in the newer portion of the developement.

Not sure if this helps or not, but I am in the Twisted oaks/Hunters Mill Development, right next to Island Creek, and many of our neighbors have in-ground pools.....Broadmoor is also next to us, and your right, no pools allowed there because they have their own pool in the development. But that is rare in this area...most subdivisions in the 40/42 area have no community pool..therefore, in ground pools are allowed(Vicki R. can correct me if I am wrong)

Now that I think about it, the Island Creek house that we can actually see from our house in Twisted Oaks, has a pool....above ground. SO if they can have an above gorund pool, I don't see why a in-gorund would not be allowed??

remind me to keep myself and my clients away from the community that allows an above ground pool but not an inground one.

Whether or not you can have a inground pool in your own yard is dependent upon what the HOA covenants and the town you live in, as well as where your leach lines are.

It really doesn't depend on if there is a community pool or not! LOL

Do any of the newer subdivisions in Cleveland School District actually have a community pool? I see Island Creek does not have plans for a pool. Disappointing the a new development in this price range does not include community amenities

Broadmoor has one.
Cleveland Bluffs.
Wellsley says they will have theirs ready next summer.
