Hi all, this will be our third trip to NY from NC within the past year. We are getting closer to our possible move down there! We are going to Raleigh with the kids for 4 days in March to check out a few things, most importantly to see how bad the allergies are, and also to take a look at some houses. We also want to take the kids around to the museums and check out the schools.

I CANNOT FIND a hotel near the downtown area that has an INDOOR pool!! it is driving me nuts!! Anyone know why most hotels have outdoor pools only?? Its just part of the fun to have an indoor pool to retreat to with the kids after a long day out. Anyone know of a good hotel that maybe I am missing? I did find one or two that had an indoor pool, but then those hotels did not have suites with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, which is what we need bc we are a family of 5.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn in Cary when we moved here. It has an indoor pool, a little small, but a pool. Its in the Crossroads area, so not too far from downtown.

It isn't downtown but we have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Cary with our kids several times. It is right off the highway (40) which makes it a great base for exploring the area. It has a great, large indoor pool, and basketball courts outside. The lobby is huge and has tons of tables that you can use. We found it nice to have somewhere to hang out other than our room.

Embassy Suites on Glenwood (right across the street from Crabtree Valley Mall) has an indoor pool.

It is located in North Raleigh and that would be somewhat central to all areas and only about 20 min. to downtown.

Embassy Suites at Brier Creek has 2 queen bed suites with pull out sofa and indoor pool. The locations at Crabtree and in Cary only have double beds.

No pull out sofas and a limit of 4 people per room.

Stay at an Embassy Suites - the one on Harrison Ave in Cary has one of the better indoor hotel pools you'll find. Plenty of room for the family and free breakfast. There's no real need to be downtown, is there?
