I'm American, and my wife is Czech. We will close on a house in the Heritage in Wake Forest in a few weeks. We'll move there permanently with our two small children (ages 4 and 5) in February. Looking forward to it very much.

I will work from home. My wife will need to find a job. She has a business degree and an MBA. But she's looking for something that will allow her time for the kids. She worked as a financial analyst for some years before we had kids, but that was a 60 hour a week job. She definately doesn't want that now. She'd also like something relatively close to Wake Forest, and ideally in the city itself. How is the job market there now, especially for business/finance majors with some work experience? She speaks fluent English and has an immigration Visa allowing her to work.

Also, do you know of any employment agencies there that can help us?

Finally, I'd welcome any insights from people living in the Heritage. We loved the area and are excited about the community, but we'd appreciate any comments from people who have lived there for some time, especially with small children. Is it as nice as it seemed to us??

Thanks!

I have lived in wake forest for about a year and a half, my kids are almost 3 and close to 5. We really like it, family friendly, small town enough to meet people, take part in town activities, and feel safe! Heritage is a great area, beautiful homes. I cannot tell you much about the job market, as I stay home (and do real estate on the side), and most of my mom friends also stay home! I would suggest networking in your neighborhood and tell your wife to join the group trianglemommies.com , they do playgroups, mom's groups, etc. She may be able to find some resources there. I have seen one employment type agency in wake forest, off of 98, close to the target, but I really don't know what kind of employment they do!

Sorry not to be of more help, but I do love wake forest~
