That's directly from conservatives' talking points. CA is the largest economy in the USA, its GDP is over 3 trillion. NY's economy is #3 at about 2 trillion. How are they falling apart? Their money is literally supporting all the backwards states like Alabama and Mississippi that can't get their **** together.

U.S. states by net domestic migration (From July 1, 2018 to July 1, 2019)

(2018–2019)[1] Net domestic migration rate
per 1,000 inhabitants
1 Florida 133,910 6.23
2 Texas 125,660 4.33
3 Arizona 91,017 12.50
4 North Carolina 67,338 6.42
5 South Carolina 53,034 10.30
6 Georgia 49,680 4.68

46 Massachusetts −30,274 −4.36
47 New Jersey −48,946 −5.51
48 Illinois −104,986 −8.28
49 New York −180,649 −9.29
50 California −203,414 −5.15

So what you take credit for stuff these states did in the past the fact of the matter today is they suck and aren't seen as desirable. But wow look at all those conservative states at the top.

People vote with their feet, not what you wanna post online.

First, I wasn't discussing this thing with you. I was telling a person who is a sexual minority to make the right choice. I am pretty sure a white heterosexual man is like a wildflower in the USA. He can grow and prosper anywhere, restrictive rules and laws are written to protect him and his interests. So the discussion was about laws that protect people such as OP. Which red states lack.

Second, it was you who said that these states were falling apart. I showed you their economy, you came back with net migration/out migration stats. That doesn't mean they are falling apart. Show me the stats that their economy is shrinking and falling apart.

Have you ever even been to California or New York let alone lived there? Have you even lived outside of your home county in NC?

If California were a country it would be the 6th largest economy in the world, if NYC alone were a country it would be the 13th largest economy in the world. California is the #1 food producing state in the US, has the #1 public university system in the US, is the center of the global tech world and one of the most beautiful states in the union.

PS - 9 out of the 10 poorest states are conservative red states. Liberal blue state tax dollars are the only thing keeping most red states from falling completely falling into 3rd world status.

Please educated yourself and don't just repeat conservative right wing talking points.

(Ignores the fact that the people migrating from one place to another likely have more net value/wealth than the people of the place they are moving to)

Spiralling cost of living is caused by capitalism. Cities are mostly powerless to stop macroeconomic forces beyond their border.

Texas is a bubble. It's cheap real estate and lots of untapped resources, and relatively progressive cities in a warmer climate, so it's attractive. When the oil dries up so will it, unless its state level politics change.

Of course, blue states that are gaining people like CO and VA, and red states that are losing people like OH and KS, kind of ruin your narrative.

Sort of cart before the horse there I'm sure on day we will be calling ga and nc blue states I mean nc was always kinda a blue state but acting like va was always a blue state and not a last ten years phenom is incorrect
