Don't get me wrong. I feel absolutely blessed to live here.
Just don't see it as a travel destination.
Am I missing something?

Link to the article?

Travel in general, or travel for pleasure?

Also, those "top" lists are pretty much useless.

Forbes Welcome

Apparently because we have good food?? But I'm with you, I like living here, but as a travel destination? Maybe for a long weekend, but that's about it.

Thanks for posting the link. In my surprise, I forgot to do so!
Glad someone else agrees.

I can't say I understand how Raleigh, could be considered a top travel destination. No offense to the city, but it is what it is. More of a business region, not a travel destination.

I can certainly see how a business traveler would enjoy Raleigh for a few days. Downtown is great. But yeah, it's not somewhere you'd choose to visit for a vacation.

What hate? It's true. You can enjoy living somewhere but at the same time recognize that it's not a vacation type place.

Could be that people were flocking here to use the bathrooms

But really, don't see it as a destination place.

Yeah definitely not a destination I'd choose for a vacation. Love living here but if I'm traveling to a city I am going to choose either a major city or somewhere near a beach or mountains. And. Ear does not mean 2-3 hours away.

When we have guests I always feel like they're bored especially when they come from bigger cities. Great for work, families, living though!
