I know this sounds like a stupid question and it's sad that people wonder about it. I just want people's opinions on the most convenient way if you consume a lot of water. We're very active and drink a lot of water. We buy bottled water, and it's not bad, but we go through it extremely fast. I am not sure about Tab water with all the stories we hear, and I hate the taste of it. I mostly like Aquafina or Dasani. I've heard water filters are a good option but many of them we have to buy new filters and change it often. I would love to hear people's opinions regarding this and their experience with whatever they're using.

My fridge has a filter and the bottle fits under it perfectly to fill. I drink ~2.5 liters a day.

It's a pain in the butt but we buy bottled water in the 24 packs...usually two at a time. It lasts about a week.

Fridge water here, too (as in the door dispenser) - it helps that the tap water is not bad "straight".

We use it for drinking, cooking, coffee, etc.

I buy aftermarket filters (not "brand") for the fridge.

A mix of straight-from-the-tap (Raleigh), tap through a Brita filter, and bottled Pellegrino. Probably 33/33/33%.

I don't have a fridge that has water filter. I always liked it though especially the water being cold. For those that have it, does the water taste the same as tap water? And how much is the filter? How often do you replace it?

I like the filter idea but my family think we're not saving that much since we need to replace the filters often.

if you drink that much water, I would put in a whole-house Carbon Filter.

A Brita filter is definitely something I would invest in.

I drink it from the sink, because I probably drink a gallon a day. I put it in IKEA glass bottles, so I can drink it cold.
