I wasn't even aware Virginia was already on this problem until after I posted that. Maybe these drivers will learn via penalty in their own state before passing through NC.

This needs to be made public by passing out fliers during every 4:30 dinner-rush at every K&W Cafeteria in the state over the next few weeks!

Why only highways? Put the cops on High House Rd. and make a mint getting people driving 30 in the left lane.

On roads like High House, there are so many left turns that you can't fault people for driving in the left lane. Especially during high traffic times where if you drive correctly in the right lane, and then it's too hard to move to the left lane for your left turn due to high traffic or people who just won't let you in.

I honestly never experience this. I usually hover around 50mph on those types of roads, and have people on my tail and passing me. Maybe my speedometer is off.

I doubt it. Having grew up in eastern NC, I used to think drivers there were bad, but my opinion changed in a heartbeat once I got to VA. Especially Danville. Danville has the biggest collection of the worst drivers I've ever seen in my life. The place is a f'n deathtrap. I feel 10 times safer driving through the Triangle (and Detroit) than I do Danville. If I had a way to leave this hellhole right now, I'd be out before anybody here has their first morning fart tomorrow.

This hopefully will be the same in NC soon as well, except it'll be a $300 fine here:
Driving too slow in the left lane? You'd be fined under NC Senate bill | News & Observer

I fully support this as some people are just so mind-bogglingly aloof to their surroundings that nothing short of being pulled over and fined will get them to realize they shouldn't be snailing in the fast lane.

You must be from NC, because that seems to be the default for driving around here. I bet you also think it's ok to drive on Cary Parkway from Tryon Rd to Harrison Ave doing 30 in the left lane because you need to make that left onto Harrison. Honestly, it's not that complicated to get to the left lane when you need, and if it is DRIVE THE MOFO SPEED LIMIT while you're in the left lane if you REALLY feel you can't get over. High House is also a hot bed of people texting and watching movies or reading the news on their phones. I see it ALL THE TIME on that road.

There are like two-three left turns that anyone would reasonable be making during rush hour on High House, by the way.
