Does anyone know about the area in Cary where they are building new homes off of Green Level Church? The builder is Emerald Homes and the development is Southerlynn.**We also like some other developments near there such as Woodland Green level, Tuscana. Was wondering how that area of Cary is and anything we should be aware of if we are considering buying in that area.**Thanks

Didn't you want space in between the houses? Southerlynn is pretty crammed in I think - Toscana a little less maybe?

Yes we do. Trying to make trade offs since it seems harder to find the space. My husband looked there today and liked it .

I would do some serious research into whether or not they are going to widen Green Level Church Rd. That area holds no appeal to me but YMMV.

I would say that's a given since it already funnels down from 4 lanes, and they're widening Green Level West.

I think what bothers me about that part of town is that it's brand new. Immature trees everywhere, it's just a lot of open space. I think in 10-15 years it'll look really nice, but right now it just gives off a different vibe to me.

Yeah for me it's just a random subdivision in the middle of nowhere with nothing around. Not for me, but obviously for lots of people.

OP I can't remember if you're looking at newer construction only, but have you looked around the 27518 area? Lots of nice, larger houses in that area with land and lots of trees. Generally older houses though. One of my favorite parts of town.

Emerald is actually D.R. Horton. A perfectly fine tract builder. Not sure I would pay Southerlyn prices for D.R. Horton though.
