Edward McKays on Capital was my favorite place to go for used books and blue rays. Went a few times a month and spent hundreds of dollars there. Unfortunately....it closed up shop, permanently apparently. Before that was Nice Price Books in Durham, also closed up shop. In between I also went to a place where all the books were $1, it was in Raleigh also off Capital, near Westinghouse I believe. Also closed up shop.
Dude. What gives. Anyone know of any more places where the prices are reasonable? At Ed McKays, the novels were all $3 and I even got some old textbooks for like $8.
I went to a place i don't remember the name of off Hillsborough St but wasn't impressed with their overpriced selection. It would be nice to find a place that also has a good selection of used blu-rays, but I guess beggars can't be choosers...i stay in North Raleigh but am cool to drive to Durham or something if need be.

My favorite is Fifth Street Books in Mebane. It is a giant used book warehouse. All books are 99cents and kids books are 35cents and 59cents. It isn't super organized, but we always leave with a stack of books. http://fifthstreetbooks.com/index.html
