It gets worse as we get more weirdos moving in. We didn't used to even lock our car or house doors.

Unfortunately, almost every town in the US can say the same thing.

Yup. Criminals follow the money trail.

Our criminal justice system is becoming a revolving door like NYC. My daughter interned in parole/probation and it took heaven and earth to revoke a criminal and return them to prison. The South used to do things right but is failing now.

There is a need to categorize repeat felons as predicate felons and execute them. In addition, felon in possession of a weapon needs to be a death offense.

Really? Tell that to the warden that was hired to "fix" the broken prison system in Arkansas and then ended up being thrown out of the state by then governor Rockefeller and his state police. Why? Because fixing the prison system didn't mean exposing the many ways of torture used and secret graves on the prison grounds. Ever heard of the Tucker Telephone? Is that what you consider "doing things right?"
Also, criminals are everywhere. There is not a corner of the US that is not affected by criminal activity.

I don't condone abuse but support proper sentences for violent criminals where the sentence fits the crime.

Giving a murderer what he gave the victim sounds Biblical to me.

Fortunately, even most Christians do not follow many of the Biblical norms.

Why not.

Once a lowlife killed two NYC officers in the 9th Precinct in a brutal unprovoked ambush then ran into the subway to escape.

Their union came out with this semi-biblical quote, "If they did it, they must die", A life for a life and an eye for an eye".

Well, not everyone supports the death penalty. And just because a police union says something doesn't make it right.
