We'd like to screen in our deck. Has anyone had a good experience with a contractor/company who has done this for them? Recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

And please include size of the porch and cost. My wife wants to add one on our house and I'm trying to convince her that we can't afford one

Make sure you have enough impervious to do so first, if not, maybe someone else in your neighborhood has some extra

OUr builder wanted $8500 to close in our average deck....what's something like that going to cost? I want to screen ours eventually and add more deck (or patio) and would love to hear past experiences, too....

Most of Durham has limits to amount of space on your homesite you can cover making the groundwater impenetrable. This is known as impervious space. Inlcudes foundations, roof structures, driveways, walkways, etc. You cover up too much land, and it can lead to problems with flooding, erosion, or just the destruction of the surrounding environment.
