I see all those parents and kids there... I don't know how someone can be so stupid to climb a cliff right off a highway with cars driving at 65MPH. Or just standing there besides the road. I hope we don't see on the news someone being hit by a car.
^Have you even seen the "cliff"? It's not that bad and it's off the road so if one were to fall they wouldn't land in the road. My parents taught me to look both ways before crossing a street. We all don't live in a bubble. No, really, it's not that bad.
The best part is that you see all those parents and kids out there...doing something together in the great outdoors, breathing in fresh air and having something to show for it and to talk about in the car on the way home. And, I'm not sure that the speed limit is 65 mph through that section, so you might want to slow down when you are driving or the cops will have something more than happy garnet hunters to occupy themselves.
BTW...if you go, be prepared for drivers to beep as they drive by. It was somewhat disconcerting at first, but then I noticed that everyone who beeped, also waved.
Well there are plenty of SAFE places outdoors for parents and kids to hang out together. No need to take the risk of being hit by cars driving at 65MPH. But I guess stupid people do stupid things and who am I to convince them otherwise? Ah, and BTW I do try to drive under the speed limit but don't think everybody else does. Triangle is notorious for aggressive drivers and speeders. But I digress.
Heh, hadn't seen CHTransplant's post before I posted.
