There is a major sale going on to Europe right now, in case anyone was thinking about it next year. All 3 major US airlines involved. I just booked to Brussels for $405 per person roundtrip, leaving on a Friday, spending 2 weekends, and flying back Monday (Labor Day 2017). Other cities I saw for the same price range of $400-$450 are Amsterdam, Zurich, Madrid, and Rome. London and some German cities are a little more expensive.
Here's some feedback for RDU - new parking layout is worthless, priority is the worst lot. Terrible idea. "Priority" is always full, and is in the least convenient location. Absolutely horrible idea to create that lot. "Hey guys lets create a priority lot in a location that, unless you get one of the few hundred sweet spots, you will be farther away from either terminal than parking in the regular lot - great idea!" So, so, so stupid. Someone should be held accountable, what a waste. It's just going to change anyway, total waste of $.
RDU also needs more food options - everything closes early so if you land late, no chance of grabbing something and taking it home.

FastPark & Relax. I never park at RDU if I can help it. Food options will come as the airport expands and gets busier.

Booked flight to Frankfurt for $350 from SFO in March 2017 for my daughter and got an Audi A4 for 11 days for $350. Euro is $1.05 USD, so Europe is cheap. Was in Vancouver this month and the USD was $1.34 CAD.

We might even be parity with the Euro by then! Great deals...good job guys.
I feel like this is going to eventually bite them in the butt.
I tried taking the bus once from RDU, inside the terminal there was no signage whatsoever for public transportation, only a Triangle Transit stop sign outside after going through every zone looking for it. I asked GoTriangle and they said the airport did not permit them to use any other signage other than the bus stop sign. I'm pretty sure I agree with the conspiracy theories about wanting to keep parking revenues.
