I had it decades ago, before the changed procedures. And I certainly could use a refresher.
In fact, if an organization will do a small group, I would try to organize it as an event for my neighborhood.
Any ideas?
Good for you. I think everyone should know CPR but especially parents.
This one might be a little bit of a hike, is "free" worth the ride?:

Our volunteer American Heart Association (AHA) Instructors teach Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider, Heartsaver CPR certification classes for those who need a certification for work or volunteering, and CPR for Family and Friends. We also offer American Heart Association First Aid classes as requested. Free CPR and First Aid classes open to the general public are offered on the second Saturday of each month.
FINALLY! A freebie. It's certainly worth the drive - and thank you for the link. I certainly wouldn't mind paying a reasonable fee - but $100 is outta line.

My pleasure. Those mannequins are very pricy, then there's possibly renting a space, the instructor's fee (because they pay to go to school for it too), people to help setup the space and clean the mannequins, assist in the breakout groups for practice, the personal time since they're usually at night, even just the cleaning solution costs money. I used to pay about $30 to $40 I think, elsewhere.
I think this would be an excellent opportunity for volunteer fire departments that rely on donations. The only one I've seen so far has been in Garner though.

So funny, my son is there tonight for CPR training with his Boy Scout troop! And yes, it is free. I think if you want a certification card, they ask for $23 to cover the cost, but you don't need to get that.

Kudos to your son, the boy scouts, the CPR trainers , and YOU for being the parent.
