I don't have one that comes through my neighborhood. (It's a cul de sac neighborhood.) But we frequently have one that stops at the pool right near our neighborhood.

We've lived in Cary 8 years and have seen an ice cream truck maybe 5 times. Maybe the same guy covers the whole town LOL.

When I was a kid the ice cream truck came once a week, I'm thinking....we were always allowed to buy so it couldn't have been too often.

In our new development (barely half built out), the ice cream man comes several times a week for the construction workers. (And he knows to slow down in front of our house, to see if we come running out, waving our arms at him!)

We have one that that comes through twice a week. And then a different truck on the weekends.

Never saw one as a kid.

I know Maple View Farms has a truck, but don't know if it's riding around looking for customers or has scheduled stops like most food trucks.

There's a guy in Apex that comes through weekly during the summer. I actually dread it when I hear the song. I don't begrudge the guy making a living but his prices are ridiculous. $3 for a tiny little ice cream sandwich. However, the softee (see what I did there?) in me just shells out the money because it makes my kids unbelievably happy to eat an ice cream sandwich from a truck instead of the one in the freezer.

We have one that rolls through our neighborhood in Knightdale. I think there may be more than one based on the music I hear being played, but I expect his days are numbered now that school is back in session.

(I am suddenly reminded of that scene in the Borat movie!)

The ice cream man is depriving me of that joy in North Hills.

We have one that comes through our neighborhood in Holly Springs quite frequently.

I can't speak to the prices or quality because I've never gotten anything from him but it is a Mr. Softee ice cream truck.

Perhaps give them a call and find out if they can come through your neighborhood?
