We have been home schooling our children for the last 4 years due to bullying in our original county school base. Very Successful with the oldest child, but it has been a struggle with the youngest-her learning style is so different and needs a more structured learning environment. We CAN NOT go back to our original school, but feel Holly Springs would be an excellent fit and meet her overall needs and would love to transfer to Holly Springs High School. Any suggestions on how I could make this happen? Please Help!!!!

You need to check the WCPSS website and check and make sure Holly Springs is open to transfers. You make the application on the website. If it's not your only option is a hardship transfer and they are very rarely granted.

ETA: I checked, HSHS is closed to transfer requests. As far as I know the only HS open to transfers on this side of the county is Apex High School.

What makes Holly Springs different than other high schools?

It sounds like private school could be a better option.

You have zero chance of being transferred to HSHS.

If she needs a more structured environment your choices are your base school, private school, or perhaps a structured online homeschool program like K12 or the virtual option offered by NC schools.

Have you looked into charter schools? They often work well for former homeschoolers.

Sometimes there doesn't have to be anything different, aside from the lack of a particular nasty personality or combination of a couple that allows for a fresh start for the victim.
