I thought I was going to do a custom build but I am not too happy with how the developer rolls everything into the price of the home so that you end up paying 6% real estate fees on everything including the cost of new construction.
So just wanted to find out what was there in the Raleigh area (within 20 miles of airport) that you can get for a million bucks. Looking more for quality than square footage.
There is a neighborhood outside of chapel hill (close to where I grew up which back then was 'the country') called tuscany ridge, the homes are on 2 acre lots and the place is beautiful. The area itself is also very beautiful. It will feel more like country living than being in north raleigh in a million dollar neighborhood where you are right next door to your neighbor!

I don't know what you can get for a million... I'm trying to buy a home in the 140,000-150,000 price range as a starter home...I'll do all the research for you if you want to donate some money to me to buy my first home then you could settle for a home around 850,000
Too funny...that guy has already emailed me and wanted to know if I'd give him money back! I said NO. So...to the rest of you Realtors on here...I'm sure he'll be a blast to work with! I imagine he'd like 5.5% back!!! Have fun! Vicki
