Hello-we hope to have some built in bookshelves done in a room in our house. I want someone that will do a good job but who is reasonable in price. Also, I am custom designing these, and they won't be complicated at all, but I want someone who will listen to what we want. Recommendations appreciated.

It might be best to ask on Nextdoor. Lots of referrals to be found there. You can even search for previous answers to your question.

I don't have any recommendations, but just wanted to point out that there's nothing simple about custom carpentry, and that's why it is expensive.

I would say ND as well. From mine - Old Raleigh Carpentry.

You could also look at some new home construction and ask the custom builder who their trim carpenter is. Their trim folks may have bandwidth to help on weekends

A friend of mine had Marmac Construction do hers in her hearth room. They looked very nice and she has been very happy with the work/quality.
