I need a pressure washer. I keep debating with myself every year because they can be heavy. The little ones don't have that much power. But it would be nice to blast off the yellow pollen from my car.

A little one would do for pollen on the car. I don't care to put high pressure on the paint, fittings, etc, anyway.
Heck, I blow most of it off with a leaf blower.

Just picked up a Paxcess electric and it is awesome. Very compact and easy to carry. Powerwashed my patio and deck with no problem. It will easily clean off the car.

Central NC's (specifically in Raleigh) "pollen cloud" even made the BBC a couple of years ago (04-10-2019):

Leafblower works best. Water seems to make it sticky. DH was about to wash off the porch earlier and I said you know I think you used leaf blower last year and it worked well.....he did that and it did. And no I would NOT power wash a car. Take it to the car wash once it's over for the year.

In other news, I saw the equivalent of a dust devil at Publix today but it was a pollen devil.

Maybe it's just because pollen last year seemed very mild (granted; there was other crap on everyone's mind at this point last year)...but the pollen this year seems waaaaaaay above average. Potentially the most I've ever seen.

Is it just me?

No it's been crazy and the lack of rain isn't helping. Who knew after this winter we'd be wishing for rain.
