You can check out the North Carolinians for Home Education Athletic Commission NCHEAC.com for a list of teams and contacts for homeschool sports throughout the state.

Various towns offer rec baseball and basketball through age 17 or 18. And there are travel options in both sports.
Thank you! This is extremely helpful! Any reason in particular there are so many teams? Are there lots of homeschool kiddos and these teams are created for kids who aren't able to participate in school sports or are these select teams that allow homeschool students to participate?

Even pre-covid there were thousands of homeschoolers in Wake County. The teams are created for homeschoolers because there is enough demand. The teams on the ncheac list compete against each other as well as against private and charter school teams.

There are also many select teams, travel teams, etc that homeschoolers can participate in. There is no shortage of youth sports here!

Very interesting! I'll have to start looking around for activities in the fall- we are part of a great extension program right now.
