I've been to Brier Creek CC and also noticed a lot more golfers. Could be people wanting to get out more. Also BCCC is now run by Club Corp a large nationwide company that owns/runs many clubs around the country. Not sure if they are getting members from elsewhere too.

I know that 12 Oaks weekend tee times are through a lottery system. Surprised to hear the PW almost in the same boat.

Frankly, its getting tougher to get tee times wherever you play...private or public course.

Hasentree is part of that system. I think for a few more $$ per month BCCC members can play Hasentree and vice versa

Every club is WAY over its normal average for times due to Covid.
Prestonwood is nearly impossible to get times on the Highlands (the best ) course
Brier Creek already was doing 32k rounds a year pre-Covid, which is a high number.
Long story short, private golf is better, but it's not like you own the place and can play when you want...it's pretty competitive.

Well, it sounds like private is the way to go if they want to play consistently, but I’m so glad I asked so we can go into this with the appropriate expectations.

It sounds like perhaps one of the best ways to play consistently is to join a league after becoming a member? Am I right in assuming leagues do not carry an additional fee, but that tournaments would have a fee? Thanks again!

you mean like Club Pro Guy's Thursday Night Mens League

It would not be any significant fee to participate in a semi-organized league. Maybe a fund for weekly prizes or somesuch.

Usually there is a fee associated with a men's league, for prize $$. It's nominal: my course charges $5/night, one night a week. Yes, tournaments are extra. When I was at 12 Oaks I think the Member-Member was ~ $150.
BTW, I'm at a semi-private and play consistently. Members typically get advanced tee times that the public can't get and we do not allow un-accompanied members to play before noon Fri thru Sun.

I would say that within the last few weeks the number of golf rounds has dropped during the week and we are assuming it's due to the lifting of COVID restrictions.

My semi-private course(Three Jack National) has an EE-Lite TNML.
