Homeowners went up 27% this year. It has nearly doubled since 2018. Amica. Time to look around again.
What is everyone else seeing?
I know construction materials are expensive at the moment and we're in the midst of a massive run of inflation, but I hope everyone is enjoying their free roofs.

Don't have anything to really add, other than your last line made me audibly laugh.
We skipped "Roof-a-poolza" when it came to town last year. Granted, our house; on its third roof since it was built in 2006, I'm guessing didn't "need" one (I somehow missed the hail storm that hit my neighbor's house 87 feet NNW of here).
I do recall talking to a buddy, saying much of what you said here (hope all these guys realize what they are about to do to our Insurance rates). His reply was an all timer....
"What's the point of being honorable, by not filling a claim, when everyone you around is? That doesn't make you honorable. It makes you a fool and a sucker".
What do I know.... (our policy went up $200 this year, 11%)

Just cut my H/O insurance nearly 40% by switching from USAA to Amica. I have no doubts it will rise again with Amica at some point, in which case I'll be shopping again.
No change with State Farm yet. Gotta love that HO-6 life. But closing on a SFH next month and keeping the condo so hoping the umbrella/bundling I'm about to dive into can be made work in my favor.
Haven't got an increase but I'm going to be shopping all my insurance soon.
Amica is one of the more expensive insurers. But they have great claim service and if your house burns down you don't want to be insured with a crap insurer (I don't work for them).
