Maybe my memory has been damaged by Covid related alcohol abuse, but isn't there actually one Randy's pizza location that is considered "better" than the others? One location that is owned by one of the original brothers before they split up?
I thought it was the Miami Rd location, but that address is included on website for the chain as Randy's RTP.

It's supposedly the one on Miami Rd. It doesn't have anything to do with the family splitting up, people have always liked it better.
I've been to them all and they're all the same, hit or miss like every other restaurant in the universe depending on who is there making the food. It's not like they made all the food they will ever need at one time it's not possible that a rogue staff member can eff things up at some point.
I think people refer to the one on Miami Boulevard but the one closest to me is the one on Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh and I think that location is just as great if not better.

That is how I remember it as well. I guess the one on Miami Blvd near RTP was sold to the other group. It's a shame, as the Miami Blvd location had better pizza than the others (at least IMO, which is the only one that matters )

I like both the Guess Rd. and MLK locations pizza. I haven't had the others. It's the closest to NYC pizza that I have had in the Triangle. It's yum!
