Does anyone know if any of the established groups who repurpose weddings dresses into infant burial gowns are accepting donations in the Triangle area? The ones i've searched online are all far away.
This went around and around on our ND site. There's no place locally to physically accept the donation.
There are some (maybe) bonafide charities with online sites that will accept the dress. Expect to pay the postage to get the dress to them.
I know it's not what you want to hear but the best plan might be to donate the dress to your favorite large charity that sells online. (Salvation Army is a good choice, IMO).
Ok thanks. I'll have to take a pass on the Salvation Army suggestion since they told me I needed to apologize for my privilege (and donations are running 72% below normal as a result).
I see Phoenix > Raleigh. We are in Durham and were considering retiring to PHX but recently decided it has become too insanely expensive over the past 18 months.
I can confirm not a single group that previously accepted dresses responded, so Dorcas it is! Thanks everyone.
