NC School of Math and Science came out #1 in the nation; Raleigh Charter #31 nationally. As usual, Chapel Hill-Carborro was the top-ranked school district in NC.

As for the criteria applied:
Quote:
Niche's report uses ratings from current students, alumni and parents combined with data from the U.S. Department of Education...
I have no idea how ratings of parents apply, but whatever.

NC School of Science and Math ranked No. 1 high school in America, Raleigh Charter ranks No. 31

Ratings from parents, alumni and students - wow what a surprise that the most expensive areas in the nation come in tops LOL. What a garbage method to report on (not you OP - the media).

You have to wonder how much is inertial. Green Hope 4th, Panther Creek 6th and Green Level 18th. My daughter's academic experience at Green Level has been much more rigorous than my son's was at Panther Creek, pandemic not withstanding. Also, they have the same weighted GPA, that was good enough for my son to be top 30 when he graduated PCHS in 2019, but puts my daughter ~125 at Green Level with a 2023 graduation date.
