Beware of psychiatrists who make a cursory examination and write an Rx for Adderall, Ritalin, etc during that 15-minute single appointment. Go see a clinical child psychologist first (who will actually spend time with the kid) and get a diagnosis before the shrinks start trying one drug after another to see if anything works that can be tolerated.

We have the phone number of my husband’s ortho doctor’s physician assistant. She responds immediately. If they want to know what’s going on, they make the option available. If they don’t want to hear your every waking ache and pain 24/7 then they won’t.

Has anyone tried a Concierge Doctor? Friends in Ga are very, very happy with one they have through MDVIP, but I don't know if they are active in our area. Appreciate any suggestions for where to start looking.
My previous doctor switched his practice to a VIP affiliation. A co-worker of mine signed up and is not happy.

I reluctantly decided to give Kaiser-Permanente a try since the other choices here are dismal, and KP operates the only hospital.

I love it!

I have Medicare and Kaiser's Senior Advantage Plus Plan. It is expensive compared to most Advantage Plans, $200+ per month plus Medicare Payment, but I am ecstatic about it.

I was beginning to think I would eventually have to move back to the mainland as I get older, but now I am confident that I can age in place here in Maui.

You mean like the Clinic who's name rhymes with Tarter?
