Is it though, because I see that and just think mosquitos. And no screened porch.
You’re on to what my concern would be. No way no how would I want to live with my house right up on a pond in this part of the world. Assuming that if I bought the house money would be of no concern, it still seems like a major hassle. Not just mosquitoes, but I can’t imagine the palmetto bugs (and other bugs) that brings, and only so much a good exterminator can do. And snakes, in the house. I’m not afraid of snakes either but again, don’t want to be dealing with that in the house. Then you have the structure of the home itself. I’d be afraid that the pond right up on the house is a long and invasive repair waiting to happen. Even if cost isn’t a concern, I don’t want that much disruption in my life.
I wouldn't spend that much money to live anywhere. But I'm also not the target audience for a home that is at or close to 10K square feet. At 4K square feet, my home is feeling too large now that my mother-in-law has passed and my son is heading to college. My only regret in downsizing will be the (likely) disappointing kitchen, as we prioritized ours when having our house built.
AI has a long way to go. A single story house that large isn't likely to be on a lot that small, and a house that large isn't likely to be single story anyway. In addition, do we really think that a narrative about a house for sale in Cary is going to waste words on saying that the house has central heat and air conditioning?
