Nice that it's on a private lake (pond?) and all, but....

Apparently that video is old (2022) and it's been semi-updated and listed at 9.6M now:

If someone can afford $9.6 mill I doubt having old appliances is a deal breaker.

Appliances look ok in the updated photos. If someone can afford 9.6M I doubt they want to deal with doing lots of upgrades.

This seem like a better buy - unless it's worth 3M to live on a pond:

Those mega-houses are almost always a poor investment...terrible on resale.

People with that much money (at least in this area) who want a house that grandiose....are going to build one from scratch to their own taste.

Even Rod Brind'Amour's headline-grabbing house in Bay Leaf Farms took over 2 years to sell in 2019 and for less than he originally paid in the early 2000s (my dad actually built that house).

That house isn't even in a great part of Cary. Such an odd place to build a house like that.

I saw this house and the realtor on abc11 and wral because they were advertising it with the Mega Millions jackpot, as you would be able to buy it after a winning ticket.

That's where I saw it too. Odd way to advertise but I guess it works....

I can’t imagine anyone paying $9 million to live in Cary. I mean, I loved living in Cary but if I could afford that much for a house, I’d move back to RI…specifically, Newport.

Maybe this one….
