Hello there. My son is getting married next weekend in Cary area and we will be traveling there from Florida. I need to order a tray of cookies for the welcome party and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations for a bakery that makes great cookies. Cary or Apex would be great.

Thanks much!

Great cookies, scones, etc.

You may want to place your order ahead of time.

and bring lots of money. (Sorry, Mike, but $3.29 for a chocolate chip cookie deserves a warning in advance.)

Edible Art in North Hills is delicious. The owners daughter is a client of mine so I have been spoiled with WAY too many baked goods from there (the cupcakes are for sure what they are most famous for; but their array of cookies is also quite impressive and vary seasonally for unique flavors)

Burney's might be a good place for a cookie tray. I love Bitten Bakery cookies, but it's not what you're looking for for these events.

Maybe Wegmans grocery store? They have a pretty extensive bakery dept.

Not sure if she still has a storefront or not, but I've heard good things. Granddaughter of "Mama Dip" from Chapel Hill.

Publix will be fine for your needs ....no need to pay LaFarm prices .... I had a scone there once and garden hose wouldn't have been enough to wash it down (interestingly had the same experience in France with cookies, muffins etc).
