Hi,

We're moving to the Golden Triangle area too and wanted to know of some great summer programs i.e. soft ball, basket ball and swim camps, science camps, music and dance classes. Summer activities for 7,8,9 yearolds basically. I already checked out the Planetarium and it is a definate option but I would love to have more info. Also if anyone is familiar with any public summer school programs that would be great. Tks!

Take a look at Carolina Parent magazine (they are online as well as having a print magazine). They list every camp in the area, although many will be full--most started sign ups in Feb. or so. I don't know about public school programs.

I love "Golden Triangle"! I'm going to start calling us that, too.

Welcome!

Does Chapel Hill have a Parks and Rec department (or something similar)? I know in Raleigh and Cary, the kids can take all kinds of neat classes this summer through the town.

Parks and Rec does have programs:

Here's the program listing. You have to sign in though...

Chapel Hill Magazine just had a big list:

Check out Spence's Farm too:

That's all I can think of off the top of my head!
