No snub-nosed dogs in the hold... ever, on Air France. Their definition of snub-nosed includes Spaniels, Shih Tzu, Pugs, Boxers, Boston Terriers, et... (full list online).
France also bans Category 1 and 2 dogs from existing in the country and are banned for entry (such as Pit Bulls). You can look up the list of banned dogs in France.
After your booking, you must call reservations 48 hours or more before the flight to add a pet in the hold.
You must fill out and sign this form,

You'll need an approved pet carrier with appropriate spacing for the animal per the agreement.
Bring your vaccination records, pet records, et...

- Your dog must be ISO microchipped.
- They must be scanned before getting rabbies vaccines stateside (they will look it up at customs in France)
- Be careful on the 3 year versus 1 year vaccine. France will only consider the primary vaccine for 1 year, even if they got a 3 year dosage.
- You must get a non-commercial health certificate for travel in the EU. An Accredited Veternarian in the USA must issue your EU certificate and then it must be endorsed by the USDA ahead of travel. You have to time the endorsement to be within 10 days of your travel to the European Union (and France). You usually need to pay for Express shipping to have this overnighted to the USDA and they will rush it back with the applicable rush shipping fees of course.
Pay 400 Euros at the airport each way.
Good luck. Be very detailed. Read everything on the Air France website. Do not miss any step for customs in France or the airline or you could be denied entry or boarding the flight. They don't have to refund you if you miss a step (i.e. bring an incorrect pet carrier to the airport) and decide to not travel due to your dog being denied boarding.
