We got over 70 degrees today, and so will the next 2 days after. Still warmups this weekend and afterwards. I walked around the yard and there's quite a few bugs flying and crawling around. Not sure if the overnight temperatures will help this, so might want to do some early pest control this week to control it.

People already complaining of allergies and the yellow pollen could start early.

Hotter spring than usual on the horizon in North Carolina

It happened last year and everyone, including the pine trees, got faked by Mother Nature. We had a week of really warm weather in Feb and then it got unseasonably cold again til later in the Spring. I was wearing a coat in the Mornings through much of May. I’m not complaining, just saying.

Yep. I remember thinking "hey at least this cold snap after the super early start to pollen season in February means that pollen season will be shorter!"..... nope.

There's plenty of pollen, but the pine pollen awaits. We just get a good long pollen season of all stripes every year.

I'm more concerned about fruit. Peaches and strawberries.
Last year was an awful season and this year we also haven't had enough cold to set fruit.

Mosquitos are already out around my way. And they're huge.

Pollen is out and leaving a nice tint to things. Bug are already out. A nice 33 degrees tonight though. Not much rain in the forecast so it's about to ramp up!
