Well my husband managed to do it again. Another stinking ticket. We have been paying astronomical car insurance because of his awful record in NJ. The car insurance is all set to go back down to the normal rate in September. Even though he canged his NJ license to NC, the high NJ car insurance followed him here. He did not come to a complete stop at Marvino and Glenwood. The cop must of been hiding somewhere. So since this would be first offense in NC What do you think the chances are of going to court and having it changed to some kind of non moving violation with No points? Keeping my fingers crossed.

I thought it was only for a speeding violation? Either way I am not sure if it's worth wasting it or if they would allow if a "bad" driving record from NJ is following. Each household gets one every 3 years. A stop sign is 3 pts and you only get one if you have an NC license (you said he did). Another option may be to call the courthouse and talk to the ADA. See what options you have in regards to lessening the violation. That may be better than wasting the PFJ.

Also, if there is another violation in that 3 year span you get hit with both violations and I don't think there is any chance of getting them lowered after that. Good luck and get that hubbie of yours into a carpool group :-)

Get a lawyer. It is how anything in court seems to get done here in NC. There are no traffic classes here to get points removed. My husband had a speeding ticket, got a lawyer, did not go to court. No points but had to pay a fine and the lawyer's fee. Same thing for a failure to wear seatbelt violation.

Seriously, I wish I could get him into the car pool lane with him in the back seat. Since there's no driving class here to remove points, then, He should get on the phone and lawyer up. Any recommendations on Who? or just open the phone book?

Prayer for Judgement was funny. No doubt..

Normally within a few days of getting a ticket you will get 10 letters for $100 lawyers.

Oh, and it is PJC - Prayer for Judgment Continued. And even if you can use, it may not be the best option.
