I have an old friend who is moving from Michigan and she wants to rent in North Raleigh and would love the area to be walking distance to a trail/lake.
Does anyone live in one of the Lake lynn apartments that could tell me which ones to avoid and which ones are good. I lived there a while back but things change so I want to make sure its still nice with at least OK customer service at the rental office. Her price range is $400-$800. No pets now but she might add a cat. I'll forward any response to her. Thanks

I lived at Sailboat Bay along Lake Lynn in 2005. It is older but my wife and I loved it.

I lived in Cumberland Cove a few years ago and really liked it. There is an older section and newer section and the rent varies between them, of course. Make sure she does not rent on the first floor no matter which she chooses. Lake Lynn is notorious for peeping toms, perverts and the like. It is a nice area, I don't mean to say not to move there. Just don't ask for trouble.

The pool at Cumberland is the best, always full of fun people, right off the walking path. I miss it!

I lived in Cumberland Cove in a couple of years ago and I liked it as well. The location was good and I miss walking around Lake Lynn.
