Maybe it has been the recent wet weather, but today while doing some yard work I ran across a lot of amphibious wildlife in my rather small suburban yard. I discovered I have a toad living in the shaded area behind my garbage can and a frog living in my flowerbed. I am nowhere near a pond or stream so the appearance of this frog was a bit of a surprise. Have you noticed a lot of toads or frogs in your yard lately?

What a cute little guy. We don't have any frogs or other amphibious creatures in our yard. I wish we did. My son loves frogs. We do have a ton of butterflies though.

Yes! We have bright green tree frogs that hide by our outdoor lights, green-brown frogs, and big bullfrogs that glurp in the drainage pipe. We are near a swamp, though, and there's usually at least a little (to a lot) water flowing through our yard. We have quite a bit of wildlife. Love 'em!

Default Amphibian poker

We got your frogs, and NRG I will raise you quite a few turtles. Oh and toss in one opossum. He showed up after the storm, and has stayed, lol.

Ooo, possums gross me out.

I'll see your turtles and raise you bats. Lots of mosquito-eating bats. Fat bats.

Aaaa! They're in your house! ("Were" I hope.) We let our bats go free-range in the sky and trees.

A skink slipped into our house today, though.

Oh yes! Frogs, toads, salamanders, geckos..you name the amphibian and they have found a home here. On the other hand, I know when all the above are rare that a snake has taken over, fyi.
