I currently live in Wilmington but am moving back to Raleigh fairly soon. I'm looking to find a new bar to replace the one I go to here. Does anyone know of any bars similar to Blue Post? I love how they have skeeball and the fact that it has its regulars and everyone knows everyone. Thanks

I'm not familiar with Blue Post, but there is a bar in downtown Raleigh called Slim's that has a pool table, shuffleboard machine and foosball. They also have live music. It is definitely divey and a fun place to see live music. Ironically, it is located at 227 S. Wilmington St.

I second the Jackpot. An there is also a bar down on Glnwood called the Dive Bar. I think it used to be Mary Lou's (if anyone else remembers that place!). You can also try the Goat on Western Blvd.

Hello Mr. Burgundy! I recommend a place called "The Bassment" on Glenwood. Apparently they not only have skeeball machines, but an actual skeeball league!

Good luck! :-)
