My girlfriend and I were wanting to move to the Raleigh area after she finishes school. She will have a teaching degree for art as well as a graphic design major. I have a bachelors degree in Communications and media and a minor in history. We will both be 23 and are looking of getting a 2 bedroom apartment thats in a gd area with descent pricing. What does anyone think about the move and employment opportunities? I have really no pref where I work because I have found it hard to find a job in pr and marketing that is a base salary and not commission. I work in a factory now, but would take any job that had a salary plus commission or just a base salary of a good amount, roughly 25-30,000 a year. Opinions and comments please, my big worry is a job, but like I said I'm willing to do whatever kind of job whether in communications or elsewhere. We always wanted to move to NC, and we really want to go now when were younger than wait. Thanks everyone

No real advice other than this chestnut: I wouldn't move here without a job lined up first. Seriously.

Sounds like you are in a good position to move here. You have the right education and skills that can land a job eventually, you don't have obligations/kids and you don't need a lot of money to live on. It would probably be a good time to make the move. Just make sure you have available funds to carry you for a while.
