Hello!
Im relocating to Raleigh in the fall, found an apartment that i just LOVE but its right off of trinity road, liturally right BESIDE the RBC center.
Question:
How crrrrazy is traffic? Is it a headache to live around there? Worth the hassle? or is it not too bad?
Last October, I had tickets to see a concert at RBC. There was a game scheduled at Carter Findley AND the state fair was in town. We sat in traffic for an hour trying to get into the RBC.
I wouldn't hesitate to live close to it but I'd keep in mind that there are certain times (games, concerts, etc.) that its going to be crazy over there.
There are a decent number of "side streets" in the area you can use. (One goes from Trinity thru an office park, emptying out where NC 54 meets I-40 at the Cary border.) Not to mention Edwards Mill off Wade can get crowded, but it usually still has some flow even in games...and you'd be in the far right lane to get to Trinity, whereas most RBC Center traffic would not.
I'd just pay attention to schedules of concerts, games, and fairs and plan your driving to avoid the worst of the worst.
