I just moved from a different state and am having trouble getting my car inspected. It is a new car, but I have an area on the windshield that is tinted to protect my eyes from the sun (6 inches versus the legal 4 inches). Does anyone suggest a place that will not be so strict on this little issue?
The inspection criteria are standardized and the same wherever you go. Asking "where do they play loosey-goosey with the rules?" is setting yourself up for trouble if they also overlook something that's a safety feature you might actually need to know about.
I think all of the "quick change" oil places do inspections, and since that's not their main business, they might not be so strict on something like a windshield.
