We are planning to visit Raleigh during Easter weekend. Fly in on Thursday, out on Tuesday. It's the only time we'll have available child care. I wanted to get a tone from you guys on the availability of services during this time. Do restaurants/museums/parks/shops close for Good Friday and Easter Sunday? We will be driving out to different areas, researching neighborhoods for a move next year.

I guess I just didn't want to fly all the way out there and have tons of stuff closed because of the holiday. Any info will be appreciated!!!

Thanks!

In my experience, you'll find some stuff closed on Good Friday, and lots of places (except restaurants) closed on Easter Sunday. But be warned: in the South, Sunday is a very slow day anyway.

well, I do live in Louisiana now, so I know about things being slow. New Orleans never closes anything on Sundays, so I was wondering if it was about the same.

thanks.

Good Friday is a state holiday but stores, etc will be open. Saturday should be a regular day. Easter itself would be about like it is where you come from.

Mostly, a lot of people might leave town for the 3-day weekend, if it's nice.
