As of the 2010 census, about 10% of the Cary population was born in India, and about 15% of the population speak "Indian" in the home (according to the website I was looking at, I'm guessing "Indian"=Hindi). I couldn't find specific demographics for Indians in Morrisville, but approximately 15% of the population is Asian, and I'm guessing a good portion of that is Indian.

I guarantee you that number has risen quite a bit in the last couple of years.

My son with his wife and five year old daughter moving to Morrisville by Ist week of August from India. My grand daughter completed her 5th year in Dec 2015. She will be 5 yrs and 8 months when come to Morrisville. Will she be eligible for 1st grade in Govt. elementary school? Are there any Govt. elementary school having kindergarten near by Morrisville? Your information is highly appreciated. My daughter-in-law is under tremendous tension about this. Thanks in advance.

This is a general question not pertaining to anyone's country of origina so you will probably get more response by starting a separate thread.

There are two elementary schools in Morrisville. At least one is capped and the other one is year round I think so checking into this stuff is going to be necessary. Also, the way the borders of Cary and Morrisville are, a school on Cary might be closer.

I think this has been answered recently. The age cut-off is August 31st, so the child is officially not eligible for first grade. However, If the child has completed kindergarten in another state, the principal has has discretion on placement.
