As a newcomer to the area I am curious as to what a great Sunday is like in Raleigh (assuming everyone works M-F and takes care of the house/honey-do list on Saturday) - could you describe for me the best Sunday you can remember? Not including a trip to the Beach/Mountains or sitting at home watching football, eating cheetos, and drinking beer - although not bad in it's own right.

(i.e. what did you do, where did you go?)

Your going to find that turned around....do the honey do list on Sunday....there is more to do on Saturday. What are you interested in? Outdoor activities? Cultural events?

Sunday.............

brunch is definitely involved, and it all depends on where you are in the triangle. For us, in wake forest, we go to youngsville to johnson's family market and eat a wonderful buffet.........

Then, when it is warm, we hit the lake with the boat and float around for as long as we can handle

Home, play outside, cook out on the grill

Kids fall asleep without questioning us at 7pm..........

all is well

Leigh

We head to Piper's Tavern for their brunch buffet. Is the Johnson's family market an actual restaurant?

Johnson's is a restaurant, and they brunch is wonderful! The bread pudding is soo soo sooo good. Plus, I just like the atmosphere of the place, looks and feels like someone's house, the people who work there really try and get to know all of the customer's, the iced tea is wonderful!

They have dinner buffets as well, but I tend to like brunch the most!

Brunch sounds good - we like both outdoor and cultural events - additionally anything to keep a very active and curious 1yo busy.

When the weather just begins to change...a nice stroll around the Flea Market at the Fairgrounds is great.
