Sorry. We have our quota of doom & gloomers here. Please post positive stuff. It is much more helpful to people than trying to scare them away.

Francois, some people may have money and don't need to worry about gaining immediate employment. It's not always about the job.

Unless you have a SIGNIFICANT amount of money saved up; like...old-blue-blood-you-could-live-off-the-interest fortune; I don't think it would be a very good idea to buy an expensive lot and build a house ANYWHERE if you are already unemployed and have no job secured. If you don't sell your house in Chicago and don't have a job in NC yet; you would be unemployed, with a mortgage and 2 property tax bills (assuming you paid cash for the lot and don't have to make principle payments on it; which if you are making payments on it; wow even worse) before you even end up building the house; and then once you try to actually build the house; yikes I don't even want to think about how bad of a financial situation that could put you in.

as for the aforementioned previous poster. It appears they are off their meds as this is not the first thread they have started or hijacked just to spew stuff that makes absolutely no sense and is based off his or her imagination.

This is getting good....come on, lets mix it up.....keep it real.....

Anyway, all I know is that that's a real pretty neighborhood, a real tough golf course, and it's easy to get to Chapel Hill and Raleigh. That road, I think it's Big Woods, has some nice, upscale neighborhoods going in. All those new families will bring new opportunities for new business. It's true, there's not much out there right now....but there will be soon. Route 64 will continue to explode with development.

If I hadn't been living here already for the past 20 years and know how nice people here are I'd think what an unwelcome mat to slap someone in the face with based on the tone of many of the posts to this thread.....

Thank you very much.

Jeeze.
The exit for the rude, self-righteous, and sanctimonious is off to the left...

Wow should we all bow to your exceptional or is it your perception of intellect? I don't drink kool-aid, it's too sweet for my taste.

Golf? Who has time for golf? I work 10 to 16 hour days myself, it takes 4 hours to play 18, sorry I had to give that up for this economy
