5 minutes ago??? They have lost the suspect. So can we PLEASE go back to the national news now? Get back to us later when you actually have some NEWS on this story. Good grief............
I saw that too. Totally lame. May is a 'ratings month', so they were trying to hype a nothing story into 'something'. They blew it bigtime. What a non-story.
PS, I realize it's not May yet, but having formerly been in the biz, I can say that ratings months don't always start only on the first day of each month-- they generally start w/in a couple days of the first of the ratings month.
I saw it to. Don't know anything about ratings but good job to the Raleigh and Clayton's finest. They got their people. Not sure why it was breaking news unless we are becoming LA County. But on the old chase-O-meter scale it was a 4. So if it was done for ratings than I think the Raleigh Christmas Parade had more viewership.
Our daily life's are complicate enough getting through these tough times with the economy, Pig Flu, State Employee pay cuts, and you name it what else, IMHO we did not need a Breaking news car/people/K-9 dog chase.
Here is a thought, Break into normal programming to show Positive News. People helping someone in distress, a new road being started, a new office opening, a gorgeous sun set, an awesome Moon rise, and any other event that brings hope and cheer to the masses and not some individuals jumping from a moving vehicle and running like Jesse Owens.
WTVD is FAMOUS for breaking into programs, especially when the weather guy sees a "potential" thunderstorm developing nowhere near the viewing area!!!
