hello all
My wife and I will move to the RTP area next month. this is my first job after college so we are in a tight budget for furniture. We just want to purchase IKEA-like (O.K. quality but cheap) furniture, unfortunately there is no IKEA store in the RTP area. Any suggestion for local furniture store??

IKEA Charlotte is only about a 2 hour drive from RTP if you wanted to make the trip. There is TONS of places on glenwood though like the above said.

Echo...may not be spelled the same...they have IKEA like things, although I don't know how reasonable. Have you ever checked Target? They actually have a decent selection online and run free shipping specials all the time.

Rolesville Furniture is in the town of Rolesville- just east of Wake Forest. Name brand closeouts and works with cash buyers. Saw leather couches there 1 time for only $400.

If you search for "IKEA" on Craigslist, it pops up 185 times. IKEA is inexpensive to start with, so used, it should fit your budget.

Why not rent a truck and drive to Ikea in Charlotte?

Thanks for the suggestions. A trip to IKEA in Charlotte is one of my option. Does anyone know how much delivery fee they charge?

I heard that there's a local company named eco-modernism eco-modernism that offers Ikea runs for you.
