I am looking to grab some more pictures of the Triangle to post on this forum for those looking to learn more about the area. We already have a great photo thread going with tons of pictures contributed by multiple members. You can check out these awesome photos here: //www.city-data.com/forum/ralei...hill-cary.html

Does anybody have additional suggestions about other places, events, or towns ect.. they would like to see pictures of? What are people most interested in seeing? I would like to generate a list and try to get some shots of these subjects in the future if possible.

Thanks for your suggestions!

~ NRG

Pictures of all the old and run down buildings in need of repair and their location. It would be good to discuss what could be done with these properties, such as renovation or replacement with a new project. Sometimes the land itself is more important and interesting than the building on it. It's sort of what the city/town planners do with certain properties.

My wife and I were wondering if there is a listing of the historical plaques in Raleigh? We would love to do a plaque tour and snap some pix too!!

Maybe the historical society would have such a list you think?

Cemetery pix are great for historical and those doing family / or surname research.

I often stop at the roadside cemeteries and am amazed to see so many names that are places and roads throughout the area!

That is history up-close-and-personal I think...

When the weather is decent I take my Canon XT and a couple of radios and head out to RDU Airport for some aviation monitoring/picture taking.
Between the General Aviation observation post and the main observation deck you can take some good looking pics.

Getting ready to pack up and head out there in a little bit as a matter of fact.
