This is the only sunscreen that my son can tolerate and we usually order it online. I'm tired of hunting for the best price online only to find out that shipping for 16oz of sunscreen will then be $17!

OR, if you know of a website that charges less than $10 for a 4oz tube with reasonable shipping costs, I'll take that too!

Why don't you do a bulk order and call the company to see if they'll give you a break on shipping...can't hurt to ask. Order 5 - 10 tubes at a time and see if they'll charge you a flat fee. Tell them it's for your son and it's the only thing he can tolerate.

Unfortunately, the good stuff is expensive and I would bet if you can find it locally it would be over $15. I use this on my son too (he has eczema) and I've purchased it online when it was on sale from National Allergy. Drugsdepot.com has a decent price if you order a few tubes and there's also a 5% coupon (I think) if you google drugsdepot.com coupon so you're pretty close to $10 there. Have you tried Blue Lizard Sensitive Skin/Blue Lizard Baby SPF 30 or Bull Frog Kids UV Defender Lotion SPF 36? Those were recommended by my dermatologist, but I haven't tried them yet. They are available at CVS/Walgreens. I liked Neutrogena Sensitive Skin SPF 30 and my son seemed fine with that, but my dermatologist said it is too thin so unless I want to constantly reapply it it's not recommended.

Also, the company's website says most pharmacies (independent ones, I'd assume) can order it. I'm surprised this isn't something Whole Foods carries, but I've never seen it there.

Thanks SLS

My son has eczema as well. He LOVES to swim but the chlorine and length of time he spends in the pool irritates his eczema and most other products burn his skin

I guess I'll have to suck it up and just pay the shipping on it. We buy from natl allergy and the other stores that sell it online but I was hoping for someone to have it locally. I am surprised as well that Whole Foods doesn't carry it.

I believe Ashworth Drug, on Chatham Street downtown Cary, carries them. I called them a few days ago to make sure they still have them, and they told me that they have two or three different kinds. THeir phone number is (919) 467-1877. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for the info! I'm going to make a stop there tomorrow.

Healthpark Pharmacy on Forum Dr in Raleigh (off Six Forks, near the Kmart) sells Vanicream. I'm not sure if they carry the sunscreen, but I've been buying the soap there for a few years and have noticed they carry other Vanicream products as well (i.e. lotion, cleanser, etc.)

I just noticed that drugstore.com is currently running a buy one get one half off on vanicream sunscreen so the SPF 30 is 2 for $19.50. If you get to $49 you get free shipping--I generally can find something else I need on that site to get the free shipping.
