Today is miserable. Either rain or get off the pot. Even at 5:30 a.m. it was miserable and the little rain drops we had here in Chapel Hill were only a tease. Did you all write home bitching about this humidity? I'm a Southerner bred and raised and you better know we all are suffering. I can remember road trips before AC in cars and interstates and you have never seen such misery!!!!!!
Jusr remember when winter comes and you will be thankful you don't have to dig your car out of ten feet of snow or shovel your walk. So I guess it all evens out in the long run.

I traded many days at 0 (zero) degrees to live with this humidity for short bursts in the summer.

And I made out like a bandit.

No problem at all.

Just fine, thanks. I'll take basking indoors in the a/c over 4 months of slushy winter driving, thank you very much.

I cant speak for others, but compared to the northeast (Mass specifically) my family feels this humidity is nothing. I'll take this and hot days over the constant oppressive humidity that is from the north east anyday

Yankees are pansies if they think this is bad. On the other hand, I would be a pansy if I had to deal with their cold weather. I cannot imagine living where it is cold.

Thank you.
And agreed. This is not nearly as bad as it could be.
It is uncomfortable, but for most of us it is hardly life-threatening heat/humidity.

At least my feet are not so cold all day that only a hot shower or bath will take away the ache for a while.
I do worry about folks without good AC, and feel quite blessed that we are able to keep the house cool enough to be comfortable.

Yankee here but no pansy- yup, it's humid but not any more so than back in RI. It's just that the heat and humidity lasts longer here. I'll take the weather in NC over New England any day!! We walk every morning but go early. Had a great day, friends over, grilled out. No problem!

Some may think this is 'bad', but no, not everyone from Northern states thinks is bad humidity.
