Hey everyone,

just got back from a trip to the UK, and I found it interesting how so many people have iPhones, yet the kinds of applications we all have are so different! For example, Pandora (free internet radio) wont even work in the UK!

It got me thinking, what iPhone apps are commonly used over here - especially wondering if there are apps we use for local services. I thought it would be interesting to ask the question, maybe I'm in the minority

I'll kick it off:

WRAL app for news, weather etc
Flickster - movies
Urbanspoon - restaurants
Plus others, social networking (Facebook etc) & games

Anything out there interesting?

Open Table, Yelp, Facebook, Remote, Gilt Group, and Duke Mobile are my favorites.

Other than apps already mentioned:

Whole Foods: Search for recipes based on special diets, courses, etc. Easy to follow and free.

AroundMe: Immediately shows a list of places based on category (pharmacies, gas stations, coffee shops, etc.) in your immediate area and lists the mileage. Good for in town and out of town.

Tipulator: Self-explanatory

Wine Ratings: Helps me pick out a glass of wine at a restaurant when the server has no clue about what to recommend.

Wikipanion: Searches wikipedia.com and from what I've heard, is easier/faster than the actual Wikipedia app.
